Children travelling alone
We care for the safety and security of the youngest among us travelling alone. With our Unaccompanied Minor service, they are in the best hands - we make their stay at the airport before take-off and after landing as pleasant as the flight itself.
The Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service is compulsory for little ones aged 5 to 12 traveling alone within Europe and between Europe and the Middle East, as well as for children aged 7 to 12 traveling between Europe and the USA.
The UM service for children aged 12 to 17 is not obligatory, but can be arranged at the request of a parent or guardian.
How it works
Booking
Tickets for children traveling alone, as well as the UM service, cannot be booked online, but via the Contact Centre, in one of our branches or at an authorised travel agency.
You can book an UM service no later than 24 hours before the trip. If you need this service for departures from Paris to Belgrade, please book it at least 36 hours before departure, otherwise we will not be able to provide you with the service.
For children requiring an UM service, regardless of age, only Economy class tickets will be booked, at full price, without a child discount and with the additional charge for the UM service.
When booking the service, please prepare the personal information and contact details about the person(s) who will bring your child/children at departure and pick up at arrival.
Price
The service fee is charged per direction. In case that an UM service is necessary for both the outbound and return flights, each route is charged separately. One fee covers up to two children, provided that they are siblings with the same surname and/or address, traveling together under the same reservation.

Documents
Before your child leaves on a trip, be sure to check the conditions of travel and entry into the country they are traveling to. In addition to a valid passport, you may need to obtain a visa, consent, insurance, etc.
Valid only on flights within the Republic of Serbia, a child who does not yet have a passport may travel with a birth certificate.
The parent/guardian is responsible for ensuring that the child has all the necessary travel documents. The airline cannot be held responsible if the child is not accepted for the flight as a result of not having the necessary documents.
In addition to the documents required for the trip itself, you will need a form filled out for the UM service.
Please fill out the form electronically on this page (pdf), print it and sign it by hand. Bring four copies of the filled and signed form to the airport and hand them in at the check-in counter.
Notes:
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, countries often apply additional conditions for entry and travel. Please check the details with the relevant authorities of the country of travel in good time.
Due to the pandemic, some airports have restricted access to non-passengers, so we advise that the person who is to welcome the child has all the necessary documents, including a copy of the reservation and the child's passport (it can be in electronic form).
Travelling
Online check-in is not available if an UM service is booked. Instead, you may check-in for the flight at the airport. Please be at the airport at least two hours before departure.
Make sure you have brought all the necessary documentation, including four copies of the filled and signed form. Please note that it is not possible to fill out the form at the check-in counter.
After checking in for the flight, your child will be picked up either by Air Serbia staff or one of our representatives, depending on the airport.
The person who is bringing the child to the airport must be at least 18 years old and is obliged to be available via phone call and to stay at the airport until the departure is announced.
The child will be among the first to be boarded and placed close to the crew in case he/she/they needs help or has additional questions.
When landing, the child will be among the last to disembark. Either our staff or Air Serbia representatives will pick up the child from the crew and go through all the formalities at the airport, as well as help with picking up luggage. The child will be handed over to the person listed in the form, who will be identified beforehand. The person who is picking the child up must be at least 18 years old.
