Air Serbia launches seasonal flights between Belgrade and Ohrid
Today, Air Serbia’s flight JU116 marked the launching of direct flights between Belgrade and Ohrid. The national airline will be operating flights to this city in North Macedonia from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Air Serbia’s inaugural flight was ceremoniously welcomed at the St. Paul the Apostle Airport in Ohrid.
"When choosing destinations, travellers pay great attention to their accessibility. A direct flight is often a decisive factor. Bearing that in mind, since the beginning of 2023 we have expanded our network with more than 20 cities across Europe, North America, Asia and Africa that we did not fly to in 2022. From today, with direct Air Serbia flights you can also reach Ohrid. We believe that the new route will be interesting to passengers and will motivate them to spend their vacation on the "Macedonian freshwater sea," said Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.
Every visit to Ohrid will take you back, for a moment, to ancient times and the former Lychnidos. Natural beauties, 2300 sunny hours per year, and hospitable locals will please all your senses. Visit one of the 365 churches and take fantastic photos from the viewpoint in front of the Church of St. John, which is one of the symbols of the city. Enjoy local specialties, Ohrid trout or lamb, and wine lovers will be thrilled with the rich selection of wine cellars.
From Ohrid, via Belgrade, passengers will have good connectivity to a large number of destinations in the network of Air Serbia, such as Amsterdam, Vienna, Berlin, Bologna, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Ljubljana, New York, Oslo, Podgorica, Prague, Rome, Venice, and Zagreb.
