Air Serbia launches Chania flights
With its today’s flight JU754, Air Serbia marked the start of a direct seasonal service to Chania on the Greek island Crete. The national airline will be operating flights to the new destination three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Air Serbia’s inaugural flight received an official welcome at Chania International Airport, located on the Akrotiri peninsula, 14 kilometres from the city centre.
“Ahead of the main part of the summer season, we have added some of the popular charter destinations to our scheduled service. As of today, passengers have access to our direct service to Chania, which gives them even easier access to this resort, adorned with beaches with crystal clear water and fine white sand. Chania is our second destination on Crete, alongside Heraklion, where we recently started flying in our scheduled service,” said Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.
The second largest city on Crete, the port city Chania, has a rich historical and cultural heritage. Known for the well-preserved cultural and historic monuments and charming streets, the old town attracts tourists from all over the world. Amazing palaces, artwork and the naval spirit are embedded into every part of the island. One of the city’s symbols is the lighthouse, which retains its appearance from 1830.
Air Serbia offers its passengers good connections from Chania, via Belgrade, to Amsterdam, Berlin, Bologna, Zurich, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Paris, Prague, Rome, Venice, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Podgorica and many other cities.
